To your success!

Tip 2

Ideas rule the world! Or do they?

I’m sure many people are familiar with the statement “Ideas rule the world”! In a sense they do. Every solution to a problem pops up as an idea; a light bulb. Ponder long enough about anything- any situation, you will get an idea.

Starting often starts with an idea. In Samson’s case (see Tip 1), compiling past questions and answering them was the idea. It was a perfect solution to the problem of helping his friend pass the UTME.

So what idea do you have? What is that thing you’ve been pondering about that must be solved and what is the solution that has dropped in your mind.

Crucial to idea generation is identifying a problem and being passionate enough about that problem to think through it. People don’t just get ideas, there must have been some diligent search and the idea was the solution. To build to last, the problem identifying stage should not be skipped. Dear entrepreneurs or entrepreneurs-to-be listen, be observant, find the problem you are passionate enough about to solve. This is often the difference between impactful responsible businesses and random businesses.

Finally, it is not enough to have an idea, you must develop the idea and pay attention to learning. Samson’s idea was to compile past questions and answer them. He developed it further by thinking of the channels for getting the idea across to his friend. So instead of making it into a booklet, he made it into an app and kept developing the App.

So find the problem, get the solution and keep developing the solution.
